More than Misunderstood
Jesus was misunderstood.  Some claimed He was 'out of His mind,' some claimed He was downright a lunatic and liar.  What you think of Him matters.

    As Natural as Breathing
Prayer is an act of humility.  It can be formal or informal, audible or silent, private or public, long or short.  Prayer develops our relationship with God and demonstrates our trust and utter dependence upon Him.  Fellowship with God is at the heart of prayer.
Jesus prayed, and often.  It was as natural as breathing.  May it become that natural for us.

    Faith Unlike
We are to have a faith unlike the crowds, unlike the Pharisees, and unlike the demons.  Instead, to have the faith of a true disciple.  Which group is your faith most like?

    5 Controversies: #4 Who’s authority
Who is the authority?  What do we base our rules of life upon?  Where do our rules come from and what are the basis of those rules?  Jesus is the authority; He is God.  He makes a powerful claim that He is greater than the Sabbath.

    5 Controversies: #3 A Better Religion
Jesus provides a better way.  He is the only way.  All roads do not lead to God.  Traditions, rituals, and works aren't the way, faith is.
The Old Covenant wasn't enough.  Jesus is enough.  He didn't come to fix or add to the law, but He made it obsolete.  It could only reveal the problem and point to a fix...Jesus is the fix.

    5 Controversies: #2 A Greater Love

A greater love for God flows into a greater love for others.  A greater love does not come out of ritual, but out of understanding God’s mercy.  Jesus had a greater love and was the example of greater love.

Jesus was a friend to sinners.   Luke 19:10 tells us that Jesus came to save that which is lost.  He came to save sinners.

    The Unfair Exchange

God gave something totally clean for something utterly unclean.  THAT is an unfair exchange.  The exchange between the leper and Jesus was an unfair exchange.  God gave Jesus, His one and only Son in exchange for us.  Jesus did it willingly.

    Plugged In

If it is necessary for Jesus to pray, how much more necessary is it for us to pray?  Jesus took time to be plugged in to God through prayer.  We must be plugged in to God through prayer.  But, what if we don't want to and feel like we can't because too much is going on?  Pray.
